About 12 minutes of good basketball

Like my dad says....Felton's teams stopped playing the last eight minutes of a game. Pete Hermann's teams don't start the first eight minutes (UF excluded). Hard to disagree.

Georgia started the Auburn game by going 2 of 18 from the field, and they didn't score their third field goal until 15 minutes into the second half. At point, we were down by more than four touchdowns.

Result was a UGA loss to Auburn.

Conversely, they played lights out for about 12 minutes in the second half to narrow a 29 point Auburn lead down to 6 points before the wheels fell back off. If you're looking for optimism going into next year, you'll find it in these 10-15 minute bursts of competence, the Florida game and the Virginia Tech game. Oh...and you'll find it in better substitution patterns, more consistent defense and fewer turnovers that will hopefully come with better ball and player movement.

Last night was ugly.
