NCAA Regional Baseball Projections and RPI info

The College Baseball Blog has updated their NCAA Regional Projections. They obviously no longer have UGA with a national seed, but they do see us clinging on to a Regional Speed. From the look of that bracket, we're probably the last team to get a regional.

In their projection, Miami would be the #2 seed in the Athens regional, and we would likely face UNC in Chapel Hill if we were to advance. If we don't take care of business this weekend at home against Vandy, we're going to fall out of the regional host site projections. That scenario would either put us in the Clemson regional with the Gators in the Super Regional should we advance or in Atlanta with GT.

Right now, UGA is in 6th place in the SEC. Florida and LSU will beat up on each other this weekend, and Ole Miss and Arkansas will collide next weekend. If we take care of our business, we can get back into the top half of the bracket before Hoover. But that's going to require dramatically better pitching than we got last week when no lead was safe.

Our RPI is currently 19th, and we're ranked 13th, 14th and 22nd in the various polls.
