The first hand account I got from the meeting last night was gushing in praise. There were 300-400 folks in attendance at the new basketball practice facility, and Coach Fox set the tone for the evening by personally working the door and greeting every person that walked in the facility.IronDawg has a pretty good recap of the night posted on several message boards. My friends and family who attended were incredibly impressed with the entire coaching staff. If he can recruit 18 year old basketball players the way he's winning over fans, we'll be in good shape.
Speaking of that...there are positive rumblings on the UGASports.com hoops board about a commitment / transfer. When they confirm it, I'll link over.
Note: It's no secret that there had been discussion about the future of the UGA Tip Off Club. Would that group continue to move forward? Well...Coach Fox plans to join the club, and he's eager to see it become a success. So, that question has been addressed.
