The Chattanooga Times Free Press reports that UT-Chattanooga is down to three finalists in their head coach search. Tony Ball isn't among them. Ball was an alum and a former standout for the Moc football team, so he was considered a strong candidate to take over Chattanooga's program. While this is a setback for Coach Ball, it's a positive for UGA. Ball has a good reputation as a recruiter and has done a good job with the backs during his time in Athens.
All is quiet on other assistants, including Garner and Searels.
